TYPE 8

The 8 is a focused, determined natural boss. They tend to assert power to impact reality through control and enforcing ‘my way’.

Strengths: Enthusiastic, generous, powerful.

Challenges: Excessive, angry, dominating.

Speaking style:  8 usually speak assertively and exert strong leadership. They tend to be bossy and often get angry when something goes wrong.

Low potential: Anger and excessiveness, with a revengeful attitude toward people.

High potential: Innocence, which means to face life with an open heart and without cynicism.

Archetypal challenge: To harness the life force in productive ways, integrating self-assertion with vulnerability.

TYPE 9

The 9 is a peacemaker. They tend to be relaxed, go with the flow, and get along with most. They enjoy work where there is some routine and where they can just focus and go on with the job.

Strengths: Balanced, accepting, harmonious.

Challenges: Stubborn, ambivalent, conflict avoidant.

Speaking style: Inclusive and welcoming at their best, 9s may have trouble getting to the point. They can be linear and controlled, or quite scattered.

Low potential: Laziness of attention, or neglect, makes it hard for them to face priorities or conflict.

High potential: Right action, which is the willingness to do what needs to be done and take care of oneself in the process.

Archetypal challenge: Waking up to priorities in the present moment, integrating harmony with conflict.

TYPE 1

The focus of the 1 is to work hard at being good and to maintain high standards in all areas of life; to impact reality by bringing order to chaos and imposing the righteous ideals of the right way to live and work.

Strengths: Honest, responsible, improvement-orientated.

Challenges: Resentful, non-adaptable, overly critical.

Speaking style: Precise and detail-orientated, with a tendency to preach.

Low potential: Resentment, which comes from getting angry, but holding it in.

High potential: Serenity, which comes with letting go of anger about the way things are and accepting imperfection.

Archetypal challenge: To change what can be changed, to accept what cannot be changed and to develop the wisdom to know the difference.
